Intro
Building a FiveM roleplay server in 2026? It isn't one script, it's a stack. Here's what the best servers actually run, and in what order.
The base stack
First, the base. Five things, installed in this order: txAdmin to manage the server, a framework, oxmysql for the database, ox_lib, and pma-voice for proximity voice and radio. Get those running with zero console errors before you add anything else.
Framework
Your framework is the one choice that's expensive to change. ESX has the biggest script library. QBCore has the biggest community. And Qbox is the modern fork of QBCore, built on the ox scripts. Starting fresh? Qbox is the cleanest base.
The ox scripts
The ox scripts have become the standard layer under everything, and they're free. Ox lib for menus and notifications, ox_inventory, ox_target for interactions, oxmysql, and ox_doorlock. They work on ESX, QBCore and Qbox.
Gameplay scripts
Then add the gameplay: jobs, housing, a phone, vehicles and a garage. But one at a time. Start the server after each script, check the console, and only then add the next. That's how you know exactly what broke.
CPU
And remember: FiveM is CPU-bound. A high-clock CPU matters more than core count.
Recap
Quick recap: base stack first, one framework, the ox scripts, then gameplay one script at a time. The full list is at esagames.ro.
