Intro

Mods take Valheim from great to endless. Here's what to install on your server, and how to stop the "I can't join" messages.

BepInEx

Install BepInEx first. It's the mod loader, and almost every Valheim mod needs it, on the server and on every client.

Mod manager

Then use a mod manager, like r2modman or the Thunderstore app. It pins every version, and lets you share your whole pack as one code, so everyone installs the exact same set. Version mismatches are the number one reason players can't join.

Quality of life

Start with quality of life. Equipment and Quick Slots adds gear slots and hotbar slots. PlantEverything lets you farm properly. And AzuCraftyBoxes lets you craft from nearby chests.

Building

For builders, PlanBuild adds blueprints. Save a structure once, and place it again anywhere.

The sync rule

Remember the rule: mods that change the world must match on every client. Purely visual mods, like a better minimap, don't have to.

Recap

Quick recap: BepInEx first, one mod manager, the same pack for everyone. Valheim hosting at esagames.ro.
