Intro
Garry's Mod addons not loading? Purple checkered textures, or errors everywhere? Here's how to fix it.
Workshop collection
Your server sends addons to players through a Workshop collection. In the launch options, set host_workshop_collection to your collection ID, and add a Steam Web API key with authkey.
Missing textures
Purple and black checkered textures, or big red ERROR models, mean missing game content. Most addons expect Counter-Strike Source content. Mount it on the server, and players need it too.
Lua errors
A red Lua error on join names the addon and the file. Usually it's an outdated addon. Update it, or remove it to confirm.
Conflicts
Something broke after you added addons? Remove them in halves until you find the one that conflicts.
Failed to load
And if an addon says "failed to load", its file is usually corrupted. Unsubscribe and subscribe again to force a fresh download.
