Intro
ARK mods not downloading, stuck installing, or out of date? Here's how to get them working again.
Mod IDs
First, check your mod IDs. List the Workshop IDs in your start command, separated by commas, with no spaces.
Clean re-download
A mod stuck or corrupted? Stop the server, delete that mod's cached folder in the Workshop content folder, and restart. SteamCMD downloads it fresh.
After updates
After every ARK update, update the server first, then let the mods update. Players need to update the same mods too, or they get kicked.
Workshop & disk
Still stuck? Check the mod hasn't been removed from the Workshop, and that you have enough disk space. Big mods fail silently on a full disk.
SteamCMD
And sometimes it's SteamCMD itself. Update SteamCMD, then try again. If one mod still fails, load mods one at a time to find the broken one.
