A modded Rust server lives and dies by its plugins. Here are the ones that keep players coming back.
Oxide or Carbon
Pick your framework first. Oxide, also called uMod, is the classic. Carbon is newer and faster, and runs most Oxide plugins.
Admin tools
Start with admin essentials. AdminRadar to see players through walls, and Vanish to catch cheaters.
Progression
Then give players a reason to stay. Economics and ServerRewards for currency. Kits for starter and VIP gear. Skill trees, and an in-game shop.
Quality of life
Quality of life: Backpacks, Clans, teleport and home commands, and RemoverTool to fix misplaced building parts.
Events
For events, Raidable Bases and convoy style plugins add loot and objectives between wipes.
Updates
One warning: a Rust update or wipe can break Oxide or Carbon overnight. Update the framework before you blame the plugins.
