Intro
Here's how to install ox_inventory on your FiveM server — the right way, in the right order.
Back up
Step one: back up your database and your resources folder. The inventory holds every player's items. If you have live players, do the whole install on a test server first.
Dependencies
Step two: install the dependencies — oxmysql and ox_lib. Drop the latest releases into your resources folder.
The release build
Step three: download ox_inventory from the official Overextended GitHub. Take the release build — not the source code zip. The source has no compiled web interface… and that's the classic blank inventory screen.
The bridge
Step four: set up the bridge for your framework — ESX, QBCore or Qbox — following the official docs.
Start order
Step five: the start order in server.cfg. oxmysql first, then ox_lib, then your framework, then ox_inventory — and everything else after that.
Old inventory
Step six: disable the old inventory. Comment it out — never run two inventories at once.
Items & test
Step seven: migrate your items into data/items.lua, start the server, and watch the console for unknown items. Then test items, shops, stashes and weapons. In F8, resmon 1 should show ox_inventory at around 0.08 ms.
