Intro
Getting "Failed to login: Invalid session" in Minecraft? It's almost always a stale login, and it clears in seconds. Here's how.
What it means
The error means Microsoft couldn't verify your login token. Usually, the token simply expired in the background.
Restart the launcher
First, fully close Minecraft and the launcher, not just the game window. Reopen the launcher, and let it sign you back in. Then rejoin the server.
Sign in again
Still failing? In the launcher, sign out of your Microsoft account, and sign back in. That gives you a fresh token.
Every player?
If every player gets the error at once, it's the server. Keep online mode set to true, it checks every account. Turning it off lets anyone join under any name. And on a locked-down VPS, make sure the server can reach the login servers.
Still coming back?
Keeps coming back? Turn off your VPN or proxy, add the launcher to your antivirus or firewall exceptions, and check that your computer's clock is correct. And if the Minecraft services are down, just wait.
Recap
Quick recap: restart the launcher, sign in again, and keep online mode on. More Minecraft fixes at esagames.ro.
