Intro

Your Palworld server works, but it doesn't show up in the community list? Good news: you don't need the list. Here's how your friends get in.

Open the port

First, make sure UDP port 8211 is open, on your router, and on the server's own firewall.

The list is slow

The community list only shows a slice of servers, and it updates slowly. A perfectly working server often never appears. That's the list, not your server.

Direct connect

So connect directly. In Palworld, choose Join Multiplayer Server, Dedicated. Type your server's IP:8211 in the box at the bottom, and connect. It works whether the server is listed or not.

Settings

Want it listed anyway? Set a server name in PalWorldSettings.ini, and start the server as a community server, with the public lobby option.

Other causes

Still can't connect? Behind CGNAT, a home server is never reachable. A firewall on the server can block UDP 8211. And after a game update, update the server too.

Recap

So: open 8211, connect directly, and share your IP and port on Discord. Palworld hosting and guides at esagames.ro.
